Bro. Harvey Leads the Singing
Переглядів 3987 місяців тому
For a week in the spring of 1972, local broadcaster J. Harvey Etheridge was lured across town from the First United Methodist Church to First Baptist Church in Bonifay, Florida, to lead the singing at a revival. This recording, part of a longer tape recently digitized by longtime First Baptist organist Kenneth Yates, captures Mr. Harvey's distinctive voice and personality. He was heard every mo...
My Walk to Work

A walk up the State Street Promenade in beautiful and historic Santa Barbara. "Of all the SoCal streets transformed during the pandemic, perhaps none was altered as dramatically - or invitingly - as Santa Barbara's State Street. A 10-block stretch in the heart of downtown has been closed to cars since 2020, and plans are underway to make the change permanent. The result? The mile-long, newly du...

Super! That is the spirit of abstract... Great artist. 🥰
Abstract art is one form of the identity crisis produced by the invention of photography. At its best, It can be interesting to look at, but when words are used to discuss it, it becomes ridiculous.
I consider John Gaul a friend and inspirational in my life. I’ll never forget him.
Beautiful artist ✨💚💚👍
idk why but there's nothing more wholesome than an elderly gentleman with a cat
Thank you. What a treat!
am i the only one who think that is crappp
Just seeing this in 2022. Mr Carswell was very knowledgeable indeed. Great piece of history!
The Pork Chop Gang was a group of 20 DEMOCRATIC Party legislators from rural areas of North Florida who worked together to dominate the Florida legislature, especially to maintain segregation and conserve the disproportionate political power of mostly rural northern Florida. Calling them conservative legislators gives the notion that these men were Republicans. Not the case.
Great artist who I will certainly do extensive research on xxxx
Like most abstract"art" , the colors are vague , the shapes are vague, the meaning is ??? Also it's NOT pretty, and if it's not pretty then it's .....
Gus Bostrom disappeared with a load of my mission oak furniture many years ago when he closed The Arts and Crafts Emporium in LA. Gee, thanks Gus, I haven't forgotten that.
This is fascinating. I have recent begun to work in a semi-abstract, loose way and have been drawn to Debonkorns work for many years. And only in recent weeeks I have started to pain the landscape from a aerial perspective. For many years I worked in aerial photography as an intelligence analyst and here I just found out that Debenkoen was a cartographer! It kind of blew me away.
stunningly good
3:50 looks so much like a Wayne Thiebaud painting
Interesting that both he and Doreen McNeill were cartographers. She says that he was a great influence on her.
The main concept and even sometimes his pallet has been experienced and advanced by Nicolas de Stael in 1950s. Interestingly enough he also turned to figure later on his life but the painter represented here try’s to be pleasant and more graphic to the extend of commercialization. My humble opinion.
He was good at picking things in the environment that already had an abstract quality.
Beautiful!
Really lovely video, poignant and intimate. Your music as soundtrack gives it another plus.
Very nice video, I feel like trying my hand at it
Perhaps the tree picked him too-
Precious <3
Wonderful video about the Bonsai Garden at Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA, receiving a century-old bonsai, donated on behalf of Margaret and Edwin Thomas of Palo Alto, CA.
Love his paintings
Rest in peace, Ken Auster.
That was an interesting video, also to see the different types and energy levels, or lack thereof, in the students.
i saw myself
Meccarox fun experience
